Meet the Team

Amanda

Founder

I’m the founder of Wild & Stable Wellness Co. and my life has been nothing short of an adventure. As a certified personal trainer, yoga instructor, wellness coach, and equine-assisted therapy practitioner, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to every client I work with.

My journey has shaped me in countless ways, mother to a herd of kids, cancer survivor, and divorce survivor. For years, I thrived in high-pressure careers in human resources and sales, but the stress and burnout reminded me that true wellness was where my passion had always been and how I can share that with others.

Stepping away from that world, I embraced a new chapter focused on health and wellness.

Beyond my business, I enjoy spending time with my donkeys, riding dirt bikes, and chasing adventure throughout the Pacific Northwest. These passions fuel my belief that wellness should be exciting, dynamic, and deeply personal.

I understand many walks of life, the driven professional, the overwhelmed parent, the person rebuilding after hardship—because I’ve lived them. My goal is to guide others toward wellness in a way that feels adventurous, empowering, and sustainable.

At Wild & Stable Wellness, I combine my education with real-world resilience to help you discover strength, balance, and healing on your own unique journey.

Alongside an equipped team of professions, I will be providing equine-assisted psychotherapy (EAP) in here in Whatcom County. Offering a unique, nature-based approach to mental health by combining professional therapy with guided interaction with horses. This type of therapy allows clients to build emotional awareness, confidence, and nervous system regulation through hands-on activities like grooming, leading, and mindfulness with horses, without any riding experience required. Equine therapy is especially effective for anxiety, trauma, depression, stress, and eating disorder recovery, helping individuals develop trust, boundaries, and self-connection in a safe, supportive environment.

I am passionate about walking alongside individuals as they align with their values, reach their goals, and thrive. With over five years of experience in coaching and therapy, I empower clients to build confidence in their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.

Specializing in eating disorder recovery, I support clients in breaking free from distressing thoughts and behaviors around food, following the 5 R’s of Recovery: Rest, Refeeding, Reprogramming, Restoring, and Rediscovery. I also work with individuals facing depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and self-confidence challenges. I incorporate various evidence-based therapies, including ACT, CBT, DBT, Strength-Based Therapy, and Family-Based Therapy. For those who desire, I provide faith-based therapy, recognizing the importance of the mind-body-spirit connection. I hold a Bachelor's in Social Work and Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Dordt University.
